Hi, I'm Noémi, a Hungarian illustrator and surface pattern designer, based in Liège, Belgium. I have been living and working in Belgium for over a decade.
My practice focuses on illustration and surface pattern design, with a particular interest in colour, composition, rhythm and repetition. I create bold and expressive imagery for fashion, home décor, stationery, publishing and editorial projects.
My work is mostly digital. I use Adobe Fresco, Illustrator and Photoshop to draw, develop and compose my illustrations and patterns.
Alongside my digital practice, I regularly explore analogue and print-based techniques such as risography, paper cut and textured processes. Across my work, I aim to create distinctive and energetic imagery that brings colour, warmth and a sense of joy to everyday environments.
I find inspiration in everyday life, especially when walking around cities or spending time in nature. I’m fascinated by the colours, shapes and patterns I come across, and by the way they create rhythm and movement.
I often find myself looking at the details around me and thinking about how they could translate into a drawing, a pattern or a new colour combination.
